A Title-Less Year?
Following their elimination from the Champions League, only a miracle in the EA Sports La Liga will prevent Real Madrid from ending the season without winning a single title.

Real Madrid was eliminated in the Champions League quarterfinals. With that, they bid farewell to their favorite competition, one they have won 15 times. Against Bayern Munich, they took the lead three times at the Allianz Arena, thus leveling the series on three occasions.
The match by the players led by Álvaro Arbeloa was very good, featuring strong teamwork, solid defensive effort, and sharpness on the counterattack. The setbacks came from the first goal, where Lunin made a mistake, Vinicius’s lack of accuracy—he didn’t have a good game—and Camavinga, who left his team down to ten men.
In the final minutes, Bayern Munich proved more clinical and sealed their spot in the Champions League quarterfinals with two goals. The performance of players like Vinicius has fallen short of expectations. In contrast, Olise and Harry Kane have proven themselves to be world-class players.
Is this the end for Arbeloa?
With this defeat, Real Madrid coach Álvaro Arbeloa is the one left reeling. He took over at the Santiago Bernabéu with the goal of improving on Xabi Alonso’s play and results, but the reality is that his numbers are worse than those achieved by the Basque coach.
Now, barring a collapse by Barcelona in La Liga, Real Madrid will finish the season without a single title. Albacete knocked them out of the Copa del Rey in Arbeloa’s debut as Real Madrid coach, and in the league they trail Barça by nine points with seven matchdays remaining. It will be difficult for Arbeloa to remain Real Madrid’s coach next season.
