Inter produced another wild night at the Giuseppe Meazza, turning an early nightmare into a commanding victory. Trailing by two goals in the first half, the Nerazzurri showed character and quality to storm back against Pisa SC, eventually cruising to a 6–2 win. The result delivers three crucial points and sends Inter six points clear of AC Milan, who face Roma on Sunday in a highly anticipated showdown.

Cristian Chivu’s side, coming off a third consecutive defeat in the Champions League that had put their direct qualification for the Round of 16 at risk, found much-needed relief in domestic competition. Yet the opening stages offered little reassurance, as Inter were immediately unsettled by Pisa’s intensity and ruthlessness.

The deadlock was broken after just ten minutes. Yann Sommer misjudged his clearance, gifting possession to Stefano Moreo, who capitalised with a long-range effort that caught the Swiss goalkeeper out and handed the lead to Alberto Gilardino’s side. Inter attempted to respond but struggled to find space, and in the 23rd minute Pisa struck again: from a set piece, Moreo rose highest to head home and stun San Siro at 0–2.

Chivu moved decisively to change the momentum. In the 34th minute, he replaced Luis Henrique with Federico Dimarco, a substitution that proved pivotal. Shortly afterwards, Tramoni handled the ball inside the box, prompting the referee to point to the spot. Piotr Zieliński kept his composure and converted the penalty to reduce the deficit. Barely two minutes later, Lautaro Martínez headed in the equaliser before Pio Esposito, just before the interval, completed the comeback to make it 3–2.

After the break, Inter maintained their pressure and continued to create chances. Dimarco struck the post early in the second half, while Carlos Augusto squandered a clear opportunity by firing over from close range. Pisa tried to stay alive in the contest, but the decisive blow arrived in the 81st minute: Marcus Thuram teed up Dimarco, who unleashed a superb left-footed volley to make it 4–2.

The goal fest continued late on, with Ange-Yoan Bonny and Henrikh Mkhitaryan adding their names to the scoresheet to seal a resounding 6–2 victory. Inter thus put their European disappointment against Arsenal behind them, rediscover momentum in Serie A and tighten their grip on top spot. For Pisa SC, the frustration remains: despite a promising first half, the Tuscans stay second from bottom on 14 points, left to rue a lead that ultimately proved illusory.
