West Ham are pushing to complete the signing of Axel Disasi on loan from Chelsea before the transfer deadline, according to The Guardian’s Jacob Steinberg. Talks between the two clubs are described as straightforward, with no major issues reported in reaching an agreement.

The French defender is understood to be heading to West Ham to undergo a medical as the London club look to strengthen their defensive options. However, there remains some doubt about whether Disasi is fully convinced about making the switch.

Sources suggest West Ham are “not entirely sure Disasi wants to join them” despite scheduling his medical. Chelsea are open to allowing the centre-back to leave temporarily as part of their ongoing squad adjustments.

According to Sky, AC Milan were also interested in signing the defender. Lyon and Roma also enquired about the possibility of signing the French international centre-back on loan, as reported by BBC Sport.

Disasi, who joined Chelsea in 2023, has featured regularly this season but could seek more consistent minutes elsewhere. With the hours ticking down before the deadline, West Ham remain hopeful the deal can be completed if the player gives his final approval.
