Pep Guardiola is leaving Manchester City
The Catalan manager is leaving the Etihad Stadium ten years after his arrival, with a spectacular list of honours to his name.

The day has come that Manchester City fans did not want to see. Pep Guardiola, the most successful manager in the club’s history, is leaving. The Spanish manager believes he has completed a cycle and has decided to bring his time as Manchester City manager to a close. Since his arrival, the transformation the club has undergone has been striking and evident.
Pep Guardiola joined Manchester City in the summer of 2016 after coaching Barcelona and Bayern Munich. He made his managerial debut at his lifelong club in 2008 and spent four seasons there, winning two Champions Leagues and putting Messi, Xavi and Iniesta’s Barcelona on the international stage as the best team in the world.
From there he moved to Bayern Munich. In Germany, he faced the setback of not having won the Champions League, but he secured all the other titles and his team’s play was brilliant. This past season he has not been able to win either the Premier League or the Champions League, but the FA Cup and the EFL Cup demonstrate that he has maintained the highest standards right to the end. When he has felt he had run out of steam, he has moved on.
