Manchester City win the FA Cup
Pep Guardiola’s side beat Chelsea at Wembley with a solitary goal from Semenyo in the second half.

Manchester City have now secured the domestic cup double in England. After winning the EFL Cup against Arsenal in March, they beat another London side, Chelsea, at Wembley on Saturday. As a result, the Etihad Stadium side remain in contention for the domestic treble, although to achieve this they must hope Arsenal slip up in order to win the Premier League.
The first half was dominated by Pep Guardiola’s side, but they had only one chance, through Haaland, which Robert Sánchez saved well. In the second half, the script was the same: Manchester City were in control. Semenyo had a chance to score with a header from inside the six-yard box, but he couldn’t direct it between the posts. Chelsea only caused a bit of trouble from set pieces.
With just over ten minutes remaining, a superb City move was masterfully finished by Semenyo, who beat Robert Sánchez with a spectacular backheel. In the closing minutes, Cherki had the chance to extend the lead, but Chelsea’s Spanish goalkeeper denied him. As the final whistle blew, Manchester City erupted in jubilation.
